Chestnut Flour

Gluten Free

Chestnut flour is an interesting tasting flour which is ideal for sweet baking. It can either directly replace conventional flour in more dense recipes such as pancakes or moist, sweet loaves, or it can be combined with usual gluten-type flours in cake and bread recipes for a more sweet and nutty flavour.

Chestnut flour is generally mixed with other flours to add flavour and a natural sweetness to recipes including pancakes, waffles, pastries, biscuits and cakes. It is a non-gluten flour and is often combined with buckwheat, rice or tapioca flour.
